The 2019 mockbuster Monster Island of The Asylum is ironically released around the time of Godzilla King of the Monsters. The movie is about Monster Island, where a monster may become known, and who will be kind to the island.


Because this movie is about an asylum, it has about the same budget as a big kid's dinner. The (click here) film uses that money carefully to focus on human characters and keep its big stars on one set. This allows them to shoot all of their sequences during lunch breaks. We must not forget that this movie is about kaiju and that is how they do, so perhaps The Asylum won’t be as bad.
